Lil Nas X推出這首的時候還引發了一個事件
就是Billboard把這首移出了Country charts
理由是這首Old Town Road不夠"country"
Billboard argues that “Old Town Road” doesn’t “merit inclusion” on any
of their country charts because “when determining genres, a few factors are
examined, but first and foremost is musical composition,” per a statement
provided to Rolling Stone. “While ‘Old Town Road’ incorporates references
to country and cowboy imagery, it does not embrace enough elements of today’
s country music to chart in its current version.”
因此還引發了一點種族爭議 也遭到許多音樂人的反對
