Masca (Hearthstone GM Commentator for
Korean Channel) revealed that Blizzard Korea
paid $0 to its commentators for 2017
Hearthstone Summer Playoff.
The commentators continued the broadcast because they loved Hearthstone so much and
wanted to keep a good relationship with Blizzard.
He added that he sometimes had to work 12 hours in a row and was only paid the minimum wage which can barely cover meal and travel expenses.
(Unlike English channel where multiple cast teams are rotating, Korean channel has only single cast team per day.)
He also told he will stop working with Blizzard
and his decision is not due to the recent Blizchung issue.
