中國北京當局錯誤解釋了2758號決議案，美國提出美國版本的說法如下：

Beijing mischaracterizes the resolution by falsely conflating it with China's one-China principle, and wrongly asserts that it reflects an international consensus for its one-China principle.

the resolution did not constitute a U.N. institutional position on the political status of Taiwan
did not preclude Taiwan's meaningful participation in the U.N. system and other multilateral fora

To be clear, Resolution 2758 has absolutely no bearing on countries' sovereign choices with respect to their relationships with Taiwan. Such decisions are clearly outside of the UN General Assembly's purview to dictate
美國聯邦參議院外交委員會的美台關係聽證會，在2024年4月30日舉行
亞助卿康達（Daniel Kritenbrick）表示：
藍墨客的說法就是美國國務院的官方解釋，強調2758決議案「並沒有為中國的一中原則背書、不等同，也不反應國際對中國的一中原則有共識」（Moreover, resolution 2758 did not endorse, is not equivalent to, and does not reflect a consensus for the PRC’s “One China Principle,”）
