兩位歐盟首長正面看待台灣與立陶宛兩個民主盟友開展關係
歐洲的 #福爾摩沙俱樂部 最近公布了 #歐盟理事會 米歇爾主席及 #歐盟執委會 馮德萊
恩主席的聯名回覆函，正面回應立陶宛與台灣互設代表處！
他們指出，歐盟與台灣是理念相近夥伴，尤其在民主、法治及人權等共享價值與原則，台
灣也是歐盟的重要經濟及高科技合作夥伴。
此外也表示中國的威脅、政治施壓與各種強制手段，都是不可接受的，相關行為必須予以
反制，歐盟需團結一致捍衛共享理念價值！

外交部感謝兩位 #歐盟最高領導階層 正面看待台灣與立陶宛兩個民主盟友開展關係，也
感謝福爾摩沙俱樂部的國會議員對台灣的鼎力協助，台灣身為歐盟理念相近夥伴，會持續
加強實質夥伴友好關係！
MOFA would like to thank European Council President Charles Michel and
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for their response to an
open letter penned by the co-chairs of the European chapter of the #
FormosaClub protesting China’s retaliatory measures against #Lithuania after
the announcement of the opening of a Taiwanese representative office in the
country.
They recognized Taiwan as a like-minded economic and high-tech partner to the
#EU with #SharedValues and principles, especially in terms of #democracy, #
RuleOfLaw and #HumanRights. The letter also called the reaction of Chinese
authorities to the news of the opening of a representative office in Lithuania
unjustified and disproportionate, condemning threats, political pressure and
coercive measures directed against EU member states as not acceptable.
MOFA would like to reiterate, as a like-minded partner to the EU we will
continue to work towards substantive and mutually-beneficial ties with member
states.
