SPECIAL BULLETIN:
Per the SWPC, a now-confirmed G4 (severe) geomagnetic storm has impacted Earth
today for the first time in nearly two decades, and is likely to continue
this weekend. As a result, an R3 (strong) radio blackout was reported earlier.
The K-index is estimated to have approached the maximum value of 9 in the
last few hours, creating auroras around much of Europe. Much of North America
is likely to see similar activity tonight and tomorrow night. Voltage control
issues and other problems are expected.
