E-cigarettes are a relatively new product – they aren’t risk free and we don
’t yet know their long-term impact. We strongly discourage people who haven’
t smoked from using them.
電子煙是新型產品，他們並不是0風險的東西，而且我們並不知道長期的影響。因此強烈
建議非吸煙者不要接觸這些產品。
However, there are misconceptions among a large proportion of the public that
e-cigarettes are equally or more harmful than smoking[1] Research to date
actually indicates that they are less harmful as they don’t contain tobacco
or involve combustion.
然而，有相當高比例誤解認為電子煙的風險相當或高於傳統煙。
而實際的研究已經指出，電子煙的危害小於傳統紙煙，因為他們並不含煙草，也不會有
燃燒的問題（燃燒煙草會產生兩千多種有害化學物質）。
