Vladimir Putin congratulated the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan,
Abkhazia, South Ossetia, as well as the citizens of Georgia and Ukraine with
the 72th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In a congratulatory message to the President of Russia emphasized that the
Victory Day - a sacred day and a symbol of unparalleled heroism of our
fathers and grandfathers who fought shoulder to shoulder on the war fronts
and selfless work in the rear of the salvation of the country and all of
humanity from fascism.
Vladimir Putin stressed that the best tribute to the soldiers-liberators will
be our joint struggle against all attempts to distort history, excuses
criminal acts of fascism and Nazism.
The Russian head of state expressed confidence that the tradition of
fraternal friendship and mutual assistance, tempered in the crucible of war,
will remain a reliable basis for the development of allied partnership and
cooperation between our countries in ensuring regional stability and security.
Vladimir Putin gave a low bow to all veterans and home front workers and
wished them health, happiness and long life.
