16歲的美式足球隊四分衛Marcus Freeman也曾是該校長無照催眠的「病患」。
但在2011年某日，Freeman開車載著女友，卻衝出州際公路撞毀。其女友生還，但Freeman
不幸喪生。
17歲的Brittany Palumbo想提升SAT考試成績，接受催眠；而之前提過的McKinley則是想
在茱莉亞音樂學院甄試中得高分。
經過多次催眠後，兩生竟雙雙上吊生亡。
該校一位籃球隊員說，他曾皆受Kenney催眠30-40次，以提高專注力。
Kenney於2012年承認催眠學生後辭職，據說他現在在北卡羅萊納州，經營一家旅館。
Kenney於2012年被以兩項輕罪起訴，但不需服刑。哀痛的家屬只能自我安慰，至少他已不

ts who died after a high school principal conducted bizarre hypnotherapy on th
em.
Years after the tragic suicide of a student at North Port High, Principal Geor
ge Kenney admits to hypnotizing 16-year-old Wesley McKinley the day before he
killed himself.
The district has now revealed that Kenney hypnotized at least 75 students and
staff members at his former high school.
Sixteen-year-old quarterback Marcus Freeman was another ‘patient’ of the unl
icensed hypnotherapist.
One day in 2011, Freeman veered his car off on an interstate with his girlfrie
nd in the passenger seat. The girlfriend survived, Freeman was not so lucky.
Brittany Palumbo, 17, was hypnotized because she wanted to do better on her SA
Ts while the aforementioned McKinley wanted to ace his audition for Juilliard.
After several rounds of hypnotherapy, both wound up hanging themselves.
One basketball player at the school said that Kenney hypnotized him 30-40 time
s in order to improve his concentration.
Kenney resigned in 2012 after admitting to hypnotizing students and he now rep
ortedly runs a bed-and-breakfast in North Carolina.
Kenney was charged with two misdemeanors in 2012 but has avoided jail time. Gr
ieving families are forced to find solace in the fact that at least he can no
longer practice hypnotherapy.
