在烏干達、肯亞的邊界，Mt. Elgon的孩子平均要走路 90 分鐘的山路上學。 上學對孩子來說很快樂，但是有一點不方便就是需要赤腳走兩個小時，以及教室的牆會塌。 At the border of Uganda and Kenya, children from Mt. Elgon area take about 90 minutes to walk to school every day. Even though they love going to school. Walking bare-feet on rocky roads and the poor condition of school structure can sometimes be challenging for them.

在烏干達邊境的Mt. Elgon山上，有一群基督徒居民為了孩子們的未來，一起合作徒手蓋了一間學校，但裡面的教科書不足，桌椅稀少，一下雨，整面墻都會剝落。 On Mt. Elgon, there’s a group of Christian residents came together and built a school hoping for a better future for their children. But with limited resources, there’s not enough textbooks and desks, even the walls are not strong enough to stand against rainy seasons.
夢想完整介紹:
緣起
舊鞋救命的起源是由加拿大籍Allen十年前離開了牧師工作。在多倫多蓋房子，並成立NGO組織，把賺到的錢在貧困的地方蓋學校、教會，診所。2015 年在烏干達完成非洲的第三間學校。 「我的一生所有的東西都是 Made in Taiwan。現在竟然孫女也是 Made in Taiwan。」已逾六旬的 Allen招牌笑話，自嘲娛樂著大家。 Step30 was inspired by a Canadian Allen Remley who he left his position as a pastor about 10 years ago. He started building houses around Toronto and started his own NGO. Allen took the money he made from construction work
to build schools, churches and clinics in the places that are in need the most. In 2015, he finished his third school in Uganda, Africa. Allen likes to joke around with us saying: “Everything I had is Made in Taiwan; now even my granddaughter is made in Taiwan!”

Allen 的想法是，這個建築物周一到週五是學校，周末就是教會。這裡有愛與關懷，有學習、成長，像家一樣。每個人在這樣的環境裡，上帝就會在他們當中。 “This building should have……” Allen’s vision for this building is simple. From Monday to Friday it should be used as a school building, and on weekends it’s a church. They should be able to love, learn, and grow together as a family, and most importantly, they need to know that God is there with them and for them.
貨櫃教室
2014 台灣一群朋友，聚集成立舊鞋救命組織。開始跟隨這個腳步。募集舊鞋、舊衣服。 成立NGO與社會企業。把寄鞋的貨櫃變成教室。 The container classrooms In 2014, a group of Taiwanese founded an organization called Step30. It began to follow Allen’s footsteps. We established NGO and social enterprise, collecting old shoes, clothes for Africa and then turned the containers into the classrooms.
彩虹貨櫃教室
貨櫃改裝成彩虹教室。 台灣民眾所捐贈的舊鞋會被裝進貨櫃運送至肯亞，而每一個貨櫃將直接在當地改裝成為教室，讓肯亞兒童有個學習的場所，然而，每一個貨櫃教室需要5000美金（15萬台幣）資金；現在，我們希望透過募資的方式取得20個貨櫃教室的資金。 您贊助後，將以您的名字命名這個貨櫃教室，把這個祝福送到肯亞、烏干達赤貧地區，邀您一起見證「每一個教室可以培育當地孩子，成為明天的盼望」。 The Rainbow Classrooms For a container to be remodeled into a Rainbow Classroom, it would costs about $5000 (150,000 NTD). name each classroom after the donors. We want to invite you to send this blessing to Kenya and Uganda, and we would also like you to visit there with us. Hopefully with every classroom, it means educations for the children, a better future for Africa.

看見這幾個孩子，第一次穿上鞋的喜悅，是支持我們走下去的決心。 這裡的困境，不僅是沙蚤，還有瘧疾、HIV、貧窮、種族議題。我們走進一條條沒人走的路，看見一個個貧窮的村落，我們不僅為他們禱告，想用教育幫助這裡的孩子走更遠的路。 Seeing the joy of these children putting on their very first pair of shoes is our motivation to do more.
