轉換過來的非限定修飾語，原文根本就沒有副詞子句。
而 favored due to their enhancement of reproduction or survival
只是個過去分詞片語，哪來子句？所以絕對不可能出現第二種對比方法。
: 所以補出are只是在強調針對最前面的主要子句作對比,
: 讓對比關係更clear, 我想強調一點, C的文法沒有錯, 句意也合理,
: 只是D選項更better, 也就是句意更清楚
同時下面這種寫法

selection BUT simply random by-products
of other evolutionary developments
是把題目都改了，來適應自己最後的解釋，GMAT的修辭是不能這樣玩的。
: 另外想提醒一點, 不是看到not....but....就一定是在考not A but B,
: 可能還要考量子句和子句的對比關係;還有我建議大家培養獨立思考能力,
: 不是Manhattan講的東西都一定是神物, 因為再怎麼樣Manhattan也不是出題者,
: 我看論壇也發現有些解法有問題,只是比較少, 任何問題都應該按照修辭
: 的觀念來探討, 真理不就是越辯越明嗎？
提醒大家 not ... but 在這裡一定是考相關連接詞的平行結構。
