Steve Kerr weighs in on David West’s mystery comment: ‘I don’t know if
anything would really blow your mind’

OAKLAND — After the Warriors swept the Cavaliers in The Finals to win their
third championship in four seasons, David West planted a seed of mystery
during the champagne-filled celebration in the locker room.
在勇士橫掃騎士，拿下他們四年來的第三冠後，David West在香檳滿溢的休息室慶祝封王
的時候講了些神秘的評論。
West said that there’s something big that reporters don’t know, something
that would blow their minds when it’s unearthed. Said West: “I’m sure you
guys will figure it out after a while. But we had some stuff going on.”
West說有些超大的新聞，當公布的時候，會讓大家瞠目結舌，而現在記者們都還不知道。
West說，「我可以確定你們過一段時間後會知道，但是事情是正在進行中的。」
Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr, however, said the mystery issue is more of a
non-issue.
勇士總教練Kerr卻說，這"神秘"事件並不是那麼重大。
“I don’t know if anything would really blow your mind, but it was a
difficult season and there were a lot of moments where it became more
difficult,” Kerr said during his exit interview Monday. “But I didn’t
think it was anything unusual given the state of our team, and what we’ve
been through, and the length of this journey. But nothing to me was that
shocking. But yeah, we went through some stuff.”
「我不知道什麼事會真的讓大家嚇到，但是今年是一個艱苦的球季，有些狀況的發生讓這
個球季更顯困難，」Kerr在星期一的訪問時說到。「但是，基於球隊現在的狀況，我們今

When prodded further, Kerr said the elusive issue is nothing but typical
adversity.

“I think more is being made of this than anything that actually happened,”
Kerr said. “I think David is right, this was definitely difficult. And there
were definitely some things that happened that never made it out to the
press. But it wasn’t that earth-shattering to me. It’s kind of normal for a
team to go through some stuff during the season.”

Warriors’ general manager Bob Myers echoed Kerr, saying the mystery was so
minor that he didn’t even know what West was referring to at first.

“I was near him when I heard that and it took me a second to process what it
was,” Myers said. “I actually had to ask him. Worry about other stuff is my
advice. Focus on other things.”
