Mathematics is a form of knowledge, it's not the only form or "true" form. If anything mathematics is a man-made construct that is used to conveniently describe the world as is. Knowledge by itself isvery complicated as there is no single definitionto what it should be. Some Western philosophers,such as Descartes, would argue that if a subject believes in a proposition and that which is justified then it is knowledge; this is very similar to what your proposed. However, to what your believe is justified may not be real thus nullifying the knowledge's justification to others. For example, ifyou drive by a seemingly real lake that is simplya picture everyday by a long road then it will lead you to believe that there is a lake by the road. However, this is not true to others if they knowthat the lake is nothing but a picture. To you, this knowledge of the lake's existence is justifiedyet to others it isn't. This is known as the difference between "traditional" and "non-traditional"approach to knowledge under epistemology.
