今天在instagramg 上狗狗圖片旁看到一句話

a girl. Derived from the symbolism of animals using mating calls.
"Where's Ryan? Is he out cooing with his girlfriend?"
好像是約會? 雖然上面的解釋沒有很懂，不過我猜原來那句話應該也不是約會有關，
有人知道這個字除了叫聲外，應該怎樣來翻譯那句話:
