(1) I'll ask around, see if I can find
them a place to stay.
(2) Brompton became a fashionable district
to live in.
(3) The hotel terrace is an ideal place
to enjoy a relaxing drink.
(1) 我們不會說stay a place,而stay in a play
那為什麼a place to stay不必有in?
(2) 我們不會說live a district,這裡to live in
(3) 我覺得應該是... to enjoy ... drink in.

要嘛地方名詞接(to V./where S. V.) 要嘛where to V跟省略where無關啦...

The hotel terrace is an ideal place(where) you can enjoy a relaxing drink.
