Qualifications & Certifications:
‧ Bachelor of Applied Science [Environmental Engineering]
‧ A minimum of a BSc degree in environmental science, natural resources, mari
ne science, or a related field
Experience:

Skill / Attributes / Competencies:
‧ BOSIET & Emergency Training Including Additional Norwegian Oil and Gas Modu
les and Travel Safely by Boat (OPITO Approved)
Main Responsibilities:
Provide assistance and advice pertaining to Environmental Management System (E
MS) and Environmental Legislation as well as managing the detrimental effects
of work activities on the environment in YUNLIN Project.
Specific responsibilities of the Environmental Engineer:
General
‧ Keep abreast of all relevant environmental laws, codes of practices and sta
ndards and provide latest update upon necessary.
‧ Implement, coordinate and monitor scheduled waste management system in ensu
ring it is in accordance with company, regulatory requirements.
‧ Assist in developing of YUNLIN Project documents pertaining to environment.
‧ Facilitate and coordinate environmental initiative and activities, includin
g environmental promotional and program.
‧ Assist and implement environmental related policies and procedures at ports
and vessels and ensure the compliances.
‧ Provide advice, consultation and training to the YUNLIN Project management
and personnel in environmental specialty and service area, to cascade informat
ion to related roles.
‧ Coordinate and monitor status of Project’s compliance in accordance with I
SO 14001:2015 standards and ensure the implementation.
‧ Service as liaison with EMPLOYER to keep updated with current applicable re
quirements.
‧ Ensure environmental Legal Register and Evaluation of Compliance is in upda
ted version.
‧ Provide feedback to the worksite and line supervisor on environmental perfo
rmance.
‧ Initiate emergency response drill related to environmental and ensure the e
ffectiveness.
‧ Oversight on the environmental related key objectives and ensure the implem
entation.
‧ Monitor the environmental statistical analysis including trending analysis.
‧ Oversight on the environmental related audit and participate when required.
‧ Coordinate with incident owner on environmental related incident and assist
the investigation and ensure the corrective actions implemented as per dateli
ne given.
‧ Disseminate relevant environmental information and lesson learned to worksi
te and vessels as well as sharing of the best practices of environment in the
industry.
‧ Ensure there is no environmental showstopper that affect the Project operat
ions.
