The 20 national teams that will participate in the 2023 World Baseball Classic w
ill share an initial purse of $6 million dollars, just for entering the tourname
nt, sources told ESPN Digital.
Each team will receive $300,000 dollars for playing in the fifth edition of the
championship organized by the World Baseball Classic Inc., an entity formed by t
he World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), the United States Major League
