The Cardinals and Matt Carpenter reportedly agreed to an extension on
Wednesday, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The
club has not confirmed.
Entering his eighth full season in St. Louis, the 33-year-old is hitting
.320/.381/.701 with four doubles and seven runs this season.
Last month, the Cardinals and Paul Goldschmidt reached a five-year extension
worth a reported $130 million.
