Voice actress and musician Aimi performs the role of Kasumi Toyama in the
BanG Dream! mobile game and anime franchise.
acting as frontwoman for the girls band Poppin’Party.
In addition, she has stayed in high demand for her voice acting talents,
creating characters and music for The [email protected]: Million Live!, Cardfight!!
Vanguard, Afterlost (Shoumetsu Toshi), and Symphogear.
身兼聲優與歌手的愛美在BanG Dream!企畫中扮演戶山香澄，
同時身為Poppin'Party的關鍵人物。
此外，她作為聲優的表現也十分受歡迎，
有兼具角色與音樂的偶像大師ML企劃、卡片先導者、消滅都市、戰姬絕唱等等。
You returned to the USA this summer for an appearance at Anime Expo,
and you’ll be back again in December for CharaExpo 2019.
How have your feelings changed about America as you visit more often?
妳在今年夏天參演Anime Expo而重新回到美國，
而且妳將在2019的十二月參加CharaExpo 2019再度回到美國，
妳對於越來越常來到美國有什麼看法?
Aimi: I have so much fun whenever I come to the USA,
and I really appreciate the warm welcome I get each time.
It’s very exciting to feel the passion and excitement of the fans every time
I see them!
愛美:我每次來到美國都玩得很開心，而且我非常感謝每次受到的熱烈歡迎。
每次見到粉絲們，都很興奮能感受到他們的熱情與興奮。
The BanG Dream! Live Concerts were seen in movie theaters across America and
other countries, and your overseas fans are growing.
What do you think about the reactions you see on social media?
BanG Dream!劇場版將上映於美國以及其他國家，而且妳的海外粉絲也在增加，
妳對於SNS上的反應是怎麼看的?
Aimi: The comments from everyone are always so kind, and reading them always
makes me so happy — thank you for everything!
I want to participate in events outside of Japan more often, so I hope to get
everyone’s support!

我想參加更多日本以外的活動，所以希望能得到大家的應援!
What was your favorite part of collaborating with Silent Siren for “No Girl
No Cry”?
與Silent Siren的合作“No Girl No Cry”，妳最中意的部分是?
Aimi: The part where Suu-san and I both stick out our fists in the MV.
We both talked a lot about exactly how to do it when we were filming that scene,
and it’s one of my most favorite moments!
愛美:當我和すぅさん同時伸出拳頭的時候，

Poppin’Party x SILENT SIREN “NO GIRL NO CRY” MV
Within the five members of Poppin’Party, how would you define your role?
在Poppin’Party的五人中，妳怎麼看待妳所扮演的角色?
(※不是指二次元的角色，而是指負責的部分之類的)
Aimi: I think I’m a person who would hold hands with you to walk besides you.
I try to care for all the members because I don’t want to leave anyone behind.
I want us all to move forward together.
愛美:我想我屬於會牽著你的手並帶著你向前走的人。
我試著關心每個成員因為我不想讓任何人落後。
我希望我們一起向前進。
“Girls rock” has become a popular genre,
and female musicians are respected, not just seen as “cute”.
What’s special about being in a female rock band?
“女子搖滾”已經成了一門顯學，
而且女性音樂家得到掌聲不僅僅是因為 “可愛”。
身處在一個女子搖滾樂隊，有什麼特別的地方嗎？
Aimi: If we’re talking about Poppin’Party,
then I think it’s the smile! I feel like performing nonstop with a shining
smile on my face while playing really energetic rock music is something
unique we can do as a girls band.
愛美:談到Poppin’Party，對我來說就是微笑吧!

During “BanG Dream! 5th☆LIVE (5th Live Concert)”,
the acoustic performance of “Time Lapse” was a special moment.
What special feeling do you get by playing acoustic guitar in the middle of
an electric rock concert?
在BanG Dream! 5th☆LIVE中，Time Lapse的原聲版本是一個特別的部分，
對於在一個電子搖滾演唱會中表演原聲吉他，妳有什麼感覺?
Aimi: My memory of performing that song is very intense, and it’s a special
emotional moment for us and for the audience, too.
Actually, I was on high alert during that song because the microphone kept
sliding off,
and I didn’t want it to spoil the great, happy feeling we were creating.
Luckily, we got through it,
but that’s an unpredictable thing that can only happen live.
愛美:在我的印象中，表演這首歌時非常緊張，同時對於我們以及聽眾也是非常エモい。
(※エモい的意思請去詢問Afterglow，硬要說就是情緒化吧?)
事實上，當時我當時維持在高度警戒狀態，因為麥克風架一直滑下去，
而且我不想破壞我們建立起的快樂氛圍。還好，我們撐過了，
但那真的是只有在Live才會發生的突發事件。
What are the similarities do you feel you have with the BanG Dream! character
Kasumi?
妳認為妳與香澄有哪些共通點?
Aimi: The main thing we have in common is that we both love our friends so
deeply,
and I’m proud that we share that. But we’re really different in one way —
Kasumi is not really good with horror stories while I can handle anything!
愛美:最主要的共通點是我們都愛自己的朋友非常深，
而且我非常驕傲我們有著這個共通點。
但是我們依然有著相異處 — 香澄並不喜歡恐怖故事然而我能承受任何事!

When you’re creating a new character for an anime, how do you find the right
style?
Do you ever say “This character might sound like my friend, or someone in my
family”?
當妳為了一部動畫的新角色配音，妳如何找到正確的風格?
妳會說“這個角色或許聽起來像我的某個朋友，或者我的某個家人”嗎?
Aimi: I actually had the chance to observe someone who looked and acted
exactly like Kasumi.
It’s easier for me to create a character when I imagine the conversation
based on something real.
愛美:我曾經觀察過某個看起來與行為都與香澄相似的人，
對我來說去想像一段對話並以現實為根基去揣摩角色是更容易的。
What projects of BanG Dream! are you most excited about now? What’s coming
up in your future?
BanG Dream!企劃的哪個部分是妳認為最有意思的?妳對於未來有什麼打算?
Aimi: So much is happening! I’m preparing for more voice recording,
and I also love performing on stage,
so I’m really cherishing this time very much. What I want to do in the
future is a Poppin’Party solo live performance overseas!
愛美:很多事都正在發生!我正在準備更多的錄音，並且我也很熱愛在台上表演，
所以我非常珍惜這段時間。我希望未來Poppin’Party能夠在海外做單獨表演!

Because of your success performing live shows in Poppin’Party,
some fans might try playing the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! mobile game for
the first time.
What’s your advice for new players? What should they focus on when they
interact with your character?
因為妳在Poppin’Party成功的表演，
有許多粉絲開始玩GBP(少女樂團派對)。
妳對於那些新手玩家們有什麼建議?他們該在與妳的角色互動時該注意些什麼?
Aimi: Please find characters or songs that you like and have fun! Doesn’t it
make you feel happy when you find more things that you like?
Kasumi loves her friends, but she sure loves you too! So please be friends
with her!
愛美:請找到你喜歡的角色或歌曲並享受它們!當你找到更多你喜歡的東西，
這難道不令人開心嗎?
