Pregnancy:
PTU (Propylthiouracil): May be used safely; however, fetus may
developed thyroid problems
Methimazole: Methimazole crosses the placenta and may cause fetal
harm when administered to pregnant women; the drug can
induce goiter and hypothyroidism in the developing fetus
