Jonas Valanciunas didn't sound happy to be headed to Denver.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the Nuggets agreed to acquire the
veteran center from Sacramento, Valanciunas addressed his future Tuesday at
the B8 Summit in his native Lithuania.

"When the trade is finalized, we’ll come up with a plan," Valanciunas said,
according to Lithuanian outlet 15min. "The [Nuggets] will express their wishes
, how they think, how they see it… medical, other details. That will depend
on the team.”

Valanciunas and Greek club Panathinaikos have reportedly reached a verbal
agreement on a contract, but the 33-year-old is still under contract in the
NBA.

The trade that would bring Valanciunas to Denver and send Dario Saric to

acquisition of Cam Johnson from Brooklyn from Michael Porter Jr. was the first
domino to fall.

buyout. The Nuggets reportedly intend to have Valanciunas honor his $10.4
million contract for next season.

If Valanciunas really wants to facilitate a move back to Europe, he could
forfeit some or all of his salary as part of a contract buyout. That amount

backup center.
