2016-02-19 08:13:402月18日，Manor Racing宣佈印尼車手Rio Haryanto出任正式車手，將搭檔Pascal Wehrlein徵戰2016賽季。23歲的Rio Haryanto成為首位來自印尼的F1車手。
Manor Racing此前已經確定Mercedes的潛力新星Wehrelin佔據主力車手一個席位，另一個車手席位，傳聞可能是英國Will Stevens、Rio Haryanto、美國車手Rossi三人共享。但是由於擁有印尼國家石油公司支持的Haryanto帶來了1000萬英鎊（將近1500萬美元）的贊助費，所以他獨享了這個位置。
