2015年時Jimmy Jensen原本已經要去找正職工作，放棄棒球生涯了
但在前教練的說服下，聯繫了Baseball Jobs Overseas
而在把自己的履歷表丟出去的十分鐘後
該組織的CEO David Burns就打電話給他
並且提供他一份來自奧地利的Offer(奧地利聯賽的Attnang Athletics)

所以人生只待過美國/加拿大的他，就這樣因緣際會地來到了奧地利
The fields were a bit of a wake-up call, too. Though they’ve come a long way si
nce he made his Austrian debut in 2015, Jensen remembers one particular game hos
ted by the Dornbirn Indians, whose field used to be the parking lot for the socc
er field.

A lot has changed since that time, though, with Jensen calling Dornbirn’s field
now one of the nicer fields in all of Austria, complete with an indoor facility
and batting cages.

“I used that as an opportunity to travel myself, and then help network into new
leagues and create relationships with new teams,” Jensen said. “That was why
I went to a new team every season. Even though I really enjoyed every team I pla
yed with, but my goal with Baseball Jobs Overseas was to help it grow.”

接著他冬天就前往澳洲的地區聯盟打球(Macarthur Orioles)

隔年跑去法國聯賽的塞內爾聖殿騎士團
下一年又跑去德國聯賽的斯圖加特紅人(也是到自己老婆的故鄉)

He signed on with the Stuttgart Reds in Germany the next year, getting to live n
ear his wife's family and introduce them to baseball.
“Her dad really got into it,” Jensen said. “None of them really understood th
e game at first. But once they started coming to games and sitting with other fa
ns who explained the rules to them, they started to get into it a lot more. Now
he watches a lot of our livestreams whenever we have games, and he gets really i
nto it.”
岳父一家人也因此開始看棒球
從一開始他們完全看不懂，到現在每場比賽都會看轉播
之後又跑去加拿大/紐西蘭打球，並原定2020要去捷克聯賽
Jensen was then set to make his Czech Extraleague debut, but in 2020 the pandemi
c changed everything and made it much harder to travel across Europe. So, Jensen
stayed in Attnang for three more years before making his debut with Hro i this
season.
但受到疫情影響，所以他就重回奧地利聯賽打了三年
直到今年終於來到捷克聯賽打球惹

Jensen’s schedule is pretty full. He’ll be preparing Austria’s pitching staff
for the upcoming Euro Baseball Championships held in the Czech Republic this Se
ptember and he recently finished a coaching stint with the Baseball Jobs Oversea
s Globetrotters, who went undefeated at Austria’s Finkstonball festival.

They’ll play again at the upcoming Prague Baseball Week in June before having a
n exhibition against the Italian National Team later this summer, and then they'
ll head to Buenos Aires to help countries prepare for the upcoming PanAmerican G
ames.
之後也帶隊去阿根廷，協助那邊國家備戰泛美錦標賽
As for the future, Jensen's not sure. Perhaps he’ll return to the Czech Republi
c or Austria or maybe hit one of the countries he’s yet to play in. But he’s a
lso thinking about settling down, letting his arm rest, and growing Baseball Job
s Overseas. But then again, maybe not.
至於未來的動向他也不太確定，可能會回到奧地利/捷克繼續打球
但也有可能會讓手臂休息
